Concept: Timeless Art of Nature on Built Environment

(Pardon the purism.)  Since Lynn is near the ocean, a natural theme for art in dense areas could be just this.  Painting natural scenes on buildings is wide European tradition, where timeless art of nature marries traditional style.  Scenes of nature in manmade places, enhance imagination, 'feeling' and fun.

These are not all the images I wish to share, but here are a few.

  2. I love this concept. I am so amazed by how juxtaposing art and architecture creates such pleasure for the senses and the spirit!!! Would love for their to be more of this in Lynn. The mural project on the Lynnart's building should be fantastic once it is completed. Are you planning any projects like this Katerina? By the way Happy Easter to you and your loved ones!!!

  3. Thanks Mark and Colleen.

I try to include the idea in every design whether it is using natural views or art combined. The beauty of earth and life's experience is so beautiful, no one but the creator can beat it :).

The last project I worked on, was a 'healing building' (garden/ sun pavilion) for a residence in Gloucester, which incorporated both natural views and art. There are not too many people in New England who want something other than a colonial (not my dream in new design... although historic buildings are something to admire and preserve). I

    Happy Easter!
